Dog Walkers

Are you busy and feel that you don't have any time left in your day to walk the dog? Never fear because there is a solution for you - Dog Walkers. Dog walkers are people that come to your home and take your pooch for a walk when you don't have time to. It's not just about exercise though, it enables your pet to have some company during the day, especially if they are left home alone all day.
Dog walking is ideal for people that have time constraints. It's hard when you get home from a hard days work and then still have to work up the energy to walk the dog for an hour. It's really important that your dog obtains it's daily energy requirements because if they don't, you can be left with a few behavioral issues. Dogs may become bored, destructive and even aggressive if not stimulated in the right ways every single day.
Some of the larger and more established dog walking companies will offer more than just dog walking. This includes other things like home visits, pet sitting, pet minding and pet transportation. You may also like your dog to go out in small group walks to promote dog socialisation. It's a great idea if time is an issue for you, so give it a go and see what results you can get out of it!

Cats and Dogsā¦.They either love each other, or hate each other. What do you do if you want a cat and a dog? Or simply want to factor in a new part of the family? You'll need to consider a number of things like age, gender, temperament, breed, size and health status.
For all family members, (including you!) to be able to live in peace you need to consider how your other pets will react to a new pet. A good place to start is to search through the breed selector for cats, and the breed selector for dogs.
Once you've bought your new pet, you will have to start with an initial meeting. This is a tough one as you never know how both parties will react. Make sure that you are present at the time of meeting and watch both animals behaviour. Do not look away, even for a second. Let the animals explore each other but if you notice any signs or aggression separate them immediately.
You should try having lots of short meetings at the start to try to get them used to each other. It should get easier with time. Try placing food down on either sides of the room so that they will associate food (which is a good thing) with the other pet being around. Hopefully by this stage your pets are relaxed and able to be left alone together. If not, speak to your veterinarian or an animal behaviorist about different ways of coping with this situation.

Keeping a pet is fun and exciting but let's face it, there was no manual supplied when we bought them. You might be at a loose end when it comes to knowing that your pet has everything it needs. As our pets cannot talk, it sometimes becomes a challenge as to what they are asking of us.
Aside from food and water, your pet will need shelter and warmth. It gets cold in winter and just like us, our pets would much rather be snuggled up on the couch than outside in the rain. If you supply a pet bed and a blanket your pet will be at ease.
Stimulation and exercise are also a very important factor when it comes to our furry friends. It takes boredom away and keeps their bodies happy. Animals are very much like us and, like all people, require a little bit of love to keep them going! We should all buy pets so that we can care and look after them. Without love and affection our pets will lead a miserable life, so try to spend some quality time with them everyday.
It's also a really good idea to vaccinate, microchip and de-sex your pets. As a pet owner, it can save you a lot of hassle and medical expense in the future so why not nip it in the bud to start with. With all of this information under your belt your pets should lead a very happy, healthy and hopefully hassle free life.
